Be bold. Be you. For Pride Month 2022, I was given creative freedom to design a social media campaign. I wanted to create something empowering, as the LGBTQIA+ community was facing discriminatory legislation and a wave of hate crimes. The Cultural Cornerstones wall features a gallery-style display of the company’s cornerstone values, depicted through art pieces I illustrated, that were inspired by famous artists or art movements related to the Accolade brand aesthetic. As Accolade’s Sr. Graphic Designer, I was tasked with leading creative for the 2022 event in Arizona. To begin manufacturing their first menswear line, they needed a logo, icon and color palette. I delivered three original concepts ranging from sans-serif to serif to handwritten logotypes with accompanying icons. Ultimately, the decision was made for the handwritten logotype because it captured the energy they wanted the brand to exude. Every apparel, print and digital use-case was considered in the creation of these assets.
